“In 2024, this haircut trend gained popularity as it promotes a look that is all about embracing aging gracefully and confidently,” explains master hairstylist and founder of Fekkai Frédéric Fekkai. “It focuses on making the hair appear shiny, youthful, and healthy without trying to hide the natural aging process. It’s about celebrating beauty at every age. It’s not about anti-aging; it’s about happy aging.”
If you’re ready to jump on the French bangs train, Ponce says the shape can be extra flattering on certain face shapes. “Oval-shaped faces tend to look excellent with this style of bangs, as well as those with longer foreheads or heart-shaped faces.”
Kimble agrees: “Long faces and oval face shapes look great with this style,” she says. “Square face shapes can also pull off this look.”
